1958 to 1962. Served in Turkey with a cold war nuclear strike force aimed at The Soviet Union. Rotated through France, England, Scotland, French Morroco (Casablanca) Libya,(Tripoli) Africa, Aviano Italy, Madrid and Seville Spain and the Azores Islands as relief squadrons.

I joined the Naval Reserve in 1958, was at Los Alamitos on weekend drills once a month till I graduated in 1959, THen I went active duty August 1959, after boot camp I went to Jax Florida for two years after that I reenlisted for six more years, went aboard the USS Ranger CVA61 out of Alameda , Calif, spnt three years with VA 93 on the same ship went to different bassis different ships during the Viet Nam War ended up in Yuma Az on my last tour with theMarines here as a NDTI tech corrosion control specialist, decided to stay here in AZ after retiring in 1980
