Class of 1973

Started Shotokan Karate at the end of the 9th grade leaving Franklin Jr High, headed to Poly High. I am still practicing 44 years later, I am a 4th Degree Black Belt with Shotokan Karate of America in our Berkeley Dojo ( school )I am also a Master Instructor Trainer with the American Health Institute. AHA ,Red Cross for Health and Safety in the work place.After high school at Poly I enlisted into the 82nd Airborne Division where I taught Karate to the 5th and 7th special forces groups.After leaving the military I was married for 31years had 2 beautiful daughters 1 attending Columbia University in NY and the other raising my Grandson who is 7 years old now.In addition to teaching Karate I am teaching Tibetan Yoga also, with more than 40 years of experience.I started practicing Tibetan Yoga in 1974 while at LBCC LAC campus,under Guru Dorjie. Poly was and is key to who I am as a person and as an American.
