| About Me | When lost in the dark, gather a few sticks to burn... and dance in the firelight... gathering human strength. Siblings: Douglas, David, Linda, Daniel, Dale Children: Jim, Izzy, Lj, Kgirl and T Born a California girl, I adventured into the Pacific Northwest in 1975 at 20 years of age with my 6 month old son Jim and my first husband (Jim Mellen) to live in the country in Sandpoint, Idaho. Although not always an easy life, I spent over 20 years of fresh air, wood fires, mountain climbing, and small town life. It was a luxury I look back on with great delight. My wanderlust and adventurous spirit took over, and having married Gene Rowley, I convinced him into joining me on a series of new abodes and work sites which took us first to the central coast of California to Denver, Colorado to New Mexico and finally to Washington state. Along the way, we adopted four marvelous children who furnish us daily with adventures -- some happy and some not so happy. Above all, life is NEVER boring!
