About Me	I worked at advertising in San Francisco after graduating from Chico, and later was a buyer at Capwell's Department Store. In 1978 I became a schoolteacher of history at San Ramon High in Danville for 8 years, then I taught at Granada High as well as at Christensen Middle School in Livermore for another 22 years. I married my husband Kim John Heyward in 1980, he spent 25 years as a technical illustrator at the Lab. In 1982 our first daughter, Kelly Susan was born, and then in 1985, our second daughter, Heather Emily arrived, what joys they continue to be for Kim and I. Since 2008 we have been retired and living in Portland, Oregon. Our first grandchild, Poppy Suzanne, was born June 3, 2010, and on May 1, 2012, our grandson Atticus Allen was born. February 16, 2018 saw the addition of our granddaughter Wren Valerie and now her brother Flynn born September 30, 2021-needless to say we are crazy about these kids!!
