| About Me | Spent the first ten years after school learning and honing skills as a machinist / fabricator / designer, primarily with race cars. Got exposed to the wheelchair industry in 1976 and the started devoting full time to the world of the spinal cord quadriplegic, developing power seating for wheelchairs which became and still is the standard worldwide. After selling LaBac Systems in 1997 I started manufacturing bicycles developing the Longbikes brand of recumbent bikes. Still producing those today. In 2003 started getting back into wheelchairs and after a few years have found a new niche and am doing work that nobody else in the world is addressing which deals with dynamic components which aid Cerebral Palsy and other developmentally delayed individuals. My wife of 40 years, Therese works with me and our 34 year old son, JJ just started with us after graduating with a degree in Physics. He would love to be rocket scientist but for now is content learning manufacturing, doing design within our existing products and starting on a research project to measure load and forces exerted during extensor tone spasms of CP kids which will be done parallel to a project we are doing with Georgia Tech.
