About Me	After graduating from college, I moved to Wilmington, NC, to start work at the local hospital on the cancer floor. Four years later I started in home health as a field nurse, specializing in cancer and hospice care. My son was born in 1996 and in 2000 was diagnosed as autistic. At that time, I took an office position within the home health company that I had worked at since 1991. I am now supervisor of the Intake office of that home health company, with 7 employees under my supervision. My son has progressed greatly since his diagnosis, with much prayer and hard work, and is now entering 7th grade, with his last report card showing straight A's, on standard curriculum, in regular classes, with minimal to moderate paraeducator support for behavioral issues.
