About	Kristie (born Dec. 26, 1969) had such a great love of life- she sought the good in all people! Born and raised in Little Falls, her high school activities included softball, choir and intramural volleyball. Kristie is lovingly remembered by: her parents, Gail and Leona; two brothers- Gail, Jr. and Tom; seven sisters- Mary, Meg, Donna, Hope, Ann, Laura and Jennifer; and many other family members and her friends. She was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor on Dec. 24, 1992 and had her first operation 2 days later. For the next 3 years, she fought a courageous battle. In between her surgeries and her radiation, she finished the required credits to graduate from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. SCSU officials even came to her house for a special graduation ceremony during the summer of 1993. Kristie loved children and wanted to influence them by being a positive role model and encourage them to dream BIG. She loved to travel and was able to visit a few states, like Hawaii and have a college spring break trip across the USA by train. Kristie passed away very peacefully in her sleep at the age of 25. Her tombstone reads, “Remember me with smiles and laughter”. Written by Michelle Athmann
