| About Me | As of 2008: Wow, how do you wrap up 29 years in a few small paragraphs? I took a few courses at Yuba College after High School, worked at Doc's Patio in Olivehurst, and of course-JC Penney's in the men's department...every young girls dream job! I married an Air Force guy, named Tom and was stationed at Beale for 10 years. I worked for the MWR/Services Squadron and it was some of the best employment of my life. I planned programs for the troops and their families, such as talent contests, ice cream socials, plays and baby picture contests before moving on to marketing the 18 different facilities that make up the Services Squadron. I divorced, after having a terrific son, Thomas, 25 (he wasn't too terrific as a teen, but I would need to write a novel about that!). He now has his own little 4 year old, Tommy. They are both charming and my son is without a doubt, the best dad in the history of the world, next to my own dad (rest his soul!) of course! I remained single for a few years before meeting my current husband, Tom who is one of the nicest men I have ever known. We have been married for 11 years and been together for 15 years and I have two more grandchildren, Kylie 8 and Spencer 4. We moved to Portland, Oregon, shortly after marrrying. I love the greenery but hate the long, rainy winters! The last few years I have been taking one class at a time and have a goal of having a Bachelor's by the time I die. My goal use to be by the time I reached 100 but I have to be realistic! I have worked for New Horizons, Computer Learning Centers for 9 years and I am the Director of Operations and Administration. We are the world's largest computer and business skills training company in the world and my dream would be to someday own a franchise! My favorite hobby is travel and I live for December when we usually go on a two-week vacation with our best friends, Scott and Melissa, escaping the rain of the NW for somewhere sunny and warm. Hopefully next year, Belize. Mexico will always hold a special place in my heart. I would also go back to Costa Rica in a minute!
