About Me	I am a Greek-American female who was born in the suburbs of St. Louis County. Missouri. I attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis Campus upon graduation from Lindbergh Senior High School in 1968. I then transferred to Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts in 1970 continuing my education and was graduated in May, 1972 from BU. My love for education has been the foundation and impetus to complete my Masters Degree from California Lutheran University in the field of Special Education with a minor in Psychology. I have one son (Bill) who is 36 years old and two grandchildren (Miles and Nyla) who currently live in Kauai, Hawaii. I have enjoyed my 40 years in the Field of Special Education immensely and especially loved conducting assessments for students in need of Special Education services. I have a tremendous love for my chosen field in Special Education as well as Psychology. Additionally, I enjoy the legal aspects within my occupation as well as assessing students, becoming aware of the ever-changing legalities pertaining to Special Education and following State and Federal mandates. It was especially motivating being an integral member of the Individualized Educational Program Team (IEPT) as well as advocating for the rights of my students and parents during the IEP process. I also am a lover of Art as my father was an artist and a great inspiration to me. I love family, reading my professional journals, movies, music, being with friends, and participating in the continuous process of life long learning. I loved the stimulation of being part of a "team" preparing legal documents in Special Education and currently belong to an online group of professionals within the field called Special Education Consultants and Advocacy and Special Education: Law, Policy and Procedures.
