About Me GO POKES & GO REDTAILS! I am BUSY (seems I always have something to do or several things to do all at once, and I enjoy most of it)---love to experience new things, love to shop (except for groceries), love to socialize, love to visit new places, love to go to museums, and absolutely love to get to know and work with, and on behalf of students. I am a huge football fan--good thing too since I am married to a Football Coach at the University of Wyoming. (GO POKES!) Our nineteen-year-old daughter Mireia is attending college and studying art. I was born in SF-Cali and grew up on the Oakland side of the bay, moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in high school, went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, married a former Nebraska Husker quarterback from Tampa, Florida. We were in Ames, Iowa at Iowa State University from 1998-2007 where my husband used to be an assistant football coach for the Cyclones and I worked as the Director of Multicultural Programs for the College of Agriculture. Then after that we have moved around quite a bit, sometimes living in two different time zones, but we do our best to make it work. In 2007, he lived in Mississippi (coached for Southern Miss Golden Eagles) and from 2008-2010 he was the Assistant Head Coach and Wide Receivers Coach at Western Michigan University from 2008-2010. I worked at the University of Toledo first and then the University of Michigan during that time. Then he went to the University of North Texas as an Assistant Football Coach (Running Backs, Receivers and Recruiting Coordinator) at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas from 2011-2015. I joined him in Denton and worked for Texas Workforce and then Lake Dallas High School. In 2016, he went to Wyoming where is he now the Associate Head Football Coach, Passing Game Coordinator and WR coach and I lived in Scottsbluff, NE at that time working at Western Nebraska Community College as the VP for Student Services (2016-2020) and then the Scottsbluff Public Schools district leading diversity and inclusion efforts (2020-2021). In 2021, I moved to Waterloo, IA to become the Vice President of Student Affairs & Institutional Diversity at Hawkeye Community College. I think it is interesting that both my husband have spent our careers working with students, me as an Administrator and he as a Coach. We both share the passion of Paving the way for students to be successful (in their studies, on the field, in life)! I LOVE reconnecting with people from the past and connecting with new friends on Facebook. If you want to know more, just ask--as if that wasn&#...(read more)
