Served in the USAF from 1981 to 1985. Joined the Michigan AIr guard in 1988. Became a full time Federal Guard Employee in 1989. Deployed overseas six times in support of major operations from 1997 to 2008. Supported Noble Eagle Operations after Sept. 11th.

Joined the USAF in 1981, Served on active duty until 1987. Joined the Michigan Air National Guard in 1988. Became a full time Guard member in 1989 to present day. Been deployed to the middle east in support of Just Cause, Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Noble Eagle, and other contigencies since 1997.

My first training assignment was as a Drill Instructor for the Army and Army Reserve program. Was incharge of training for my unit and reviewed the training for seven other units in the 123rd Arcom of the 70th Division. I was incharge of many training assignments during a 22 year career. Presently retired from the US Army Program!

John Andrew Jakovac

Long Range Recon Patrol Leader, Republic of South Vietnam. Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry divison. Killed on patrol with all four of the other members of his team shortly after 8:30PM on 30 May 1967. He and two other members of the team were MIA until their bodies were returned in 1994 and identified in 1997. Buried at Arlington National Cemetery. He enlisted at age 17. He never graduated from Lincoln Park, but that really shouldn't matter.
