About	Raymond transferred from Superior, NE to Lincoln Northeast in the Fall of 1962. He played on the Rockets football team and broke his neck at the Homecoming game against Hastings. He was hospitalized for several months before he was released to return to school. He was crowned King of Hearts in the Spring of 1963. After months of recovery from his football injury, he went on to UNL and got his masters in structural engineering and formed his own successful engineering firm in Omaha until his death from cancer at the age of 56. Raymond is survived by his wife, Kathy, and children, Ryan Nielsen, Mark Nielsen and Carrie Nielsen Hansen all of Omaha.
