I'm an ex-Navy Nuke, EM1(SS) at separation (1979). Served aboard the USS SPEIGEL GROVE (LSD-32) (Google that. She had a very ignoble end), and the USS TULLIBEE (SSN-597). The TULLIBEE was decommissioned in 1986. The Reactor Compartment is now entombed in Trench 43 in Hanford, Washington, along with all the other cold warriors from the 60s and 70s.
