About Event

The Gahanna Lincoln Classes of 1973 and 1974 will come together this summer for a combined â€œReunionâ€ on Saturday, August 15, 2009, 7pm â€˜til midnight. As originally planned, the reunion will be held at Creekside in downtown Gahanna (http://www.creeksidegahanna.com/). The location will be at Buck Mulligan's Irish Pub (www.buckmulliganspub.com) and is on the left side of the fountains at Creekside. (This is the fountains at Creekside and NOT the waterfall at the creek!!). We are trying to make this a huge turn out for both classes so please be sure to forward this on to any Class of 73 and Class of 74 members you may have stayed in contact with over the years. Our only communication for this event plans to be by word of mouth and e-mail so if you receive this forwarded e-mail because you were not on the original distribution, please contact us by e-mail so that we can add you to the list and provide you with any updates. We will have the entire second floor of Buck Mulligan's (seating capacity is about 250 on the second floor alone). We have kept the price very reasonable in order to make it easy on your budget. The cost will be $10.00 per person from now until July 15th, 2009 -- these monies will be used towards the rental of the facility and for snacks and "munchies" during the evening. For those that have not been back to Gahanna or to Creekside for the summer months, please check out the links above. Parking is available in and around some of the streets, at Jefferson Elementary - which is a short walk, or the parking garage there at Creekside (I believe the price is $6 for the evening). We will not be going to the expense of having our own entertainment, however there will be a live band performing on stage and we understand that the music is piped in to the local establishments. The purpose of using the July 15th deadline is to provide us and Buck Mulligan's with an idea of how many will be attending and for us to pay in advance for the snacks/munchies which will be provided for most of the evening. The cost after July 15th and at the door on the night of August 15th will increase to $15.00 per person. For those interested in dinner, the first floor restaurant will be open in advance of our 7:00 start time. Please feel free to talk beforehand and invite friends and get together for dinner prior to the start. If you do, please be sure to mention to your server that you are with the Class Reunion Party as all food and drink purchases will go towards our rental of the second floor. If you need a room for the night or the weekend, we have reserved a block of rooms ($119 per night) at the Courtyard Marriot at Easton - Let us know or you can call the hotel directly at (614) 416-8000 . We hope that we have covered most everything in this e-mail but if not, please e-mail one of us and we will try to get you an answer. Make your plans and come on out and enjoy an evening of reminiscing and nostalgia with friends and classmates from the Gahanna Lincoln Classes of 1973 and 1974. It is sure to be a good time and one we hope you'll enjoy and talk about in the future!! We plan on taking lots of pictures and Paul will gather up all the pictures and try to put them on a DVD for those interested in having "flashbacks".
