| About Me | Graduated from UPS with teaching degree. Taught elementary kids for about thre years. Married high school sweetheart, Marty Barrett in 1975. We had two boys, Matthew and Shaun.Our youngest had some medical issues, so I did not return to teaching. In 1981, Marty an I built a house on two acres in Spanaway. Over the years it has become known as the "Commune" because we have opened our door to several kids who have needed a place to stay. It has been a wonderful and enriching experience. This extended family has helped me so much in the last several months. In July, after a short illness,Marty, the love of my life passed away.
