Grady was in my sixth grade class at Rogers Elementary School. We were classmates and teammates at Lincoln High School. Grady was a great football player and a better friend.

Grady was a family friend for many years. My two younger sisters attended Lincoln at the same time he did. My mother was friends with Grady's mother and grandmother. Grady was the "son" my parents never had. After he moved into the same neighborhood as them, he was a great help to them in their old age, as my two younger sisters and I lived out of state.
