About	NEWARK: A Funeral Service for General Grant Oliver II of Newark will be held at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Friday February 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Michael A. Noble officiating. General was born on June 7, 1968 to General Grant and Laura (Blake) Oliver. He departed this earthly life on January 29, 2012 at the Selma Markowitz Center. He was 43. He is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda; his mother, Laura Oliver, father, General Grant Oliver; sisters, Darlene Price and Carla Oliver; his brother, Julius (Renee) Oliver; his loving pet, Angel; and a host of relatives and friends. Grant, as most knew him, graduated from Licking Valley HS and was employed by the Heath Nursing Center prior to his illness. Grant loved to play the drums and was a member of several local groups, most recent being the Thin Red Line. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he was briefly a drummer. He was a loving and caring man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and those who loved him dearly.
