About	Nancy Swing Cutler Publishedin The Dispatch, Lexington, NC: Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at 10:54 a.m. Last Modified: Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at 12:00 a.m. NORCROSS, Ga. \| Nancy Carolyn Swing Cutler, 40, of Highcroft Circle, formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully after a long illness Sunday, April 25, 2004, at her home, surrounded by family. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Lexington by Dr. Ray Howell and the Rev. Pam Strader. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. Mrs. Cutler was born in Lexington on Sept. 30, 1963, to Jane and Don Swing of Lexington. She graduated from Lexington Senior High School. She received an associate arts degree from Saint Mary's College and a bachelor of arts degree in interior design from Salem College. She was a member of the Junior League of Atlanta and the High Museum of Art. She grew up in the First Baptist Church in Lexington and was a member of Saint Luke's Presbyterian Church in Dunwoody, Ga. She enjoyed spending countless hours at the beach in Pawley's Island with her family. She loved the sea and was an avid fisherman until her retirement at 12 when she hooked and pulled in "Marlie," who still adorns the walls of the house in Litchfield. She loved playing golf and tennis and watching Georgia Tech sports. She dearly loved her husband, children, family and friends. Mrs. Cutler made lasting and jovial memories wherever she went and with those she touched. Surviving are her husband, Tim, and two children, Parker (8) and Brown (4), of the home; two stepchildren, Kallay, 19, of Gainesville, Fla., and Taylor, 16, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Donny Swing and his wife, Anna, her sister, Kathryn Smith and her husband, J.J., and four nephews, Will, Craver, and Davis Swing and Penn Smith, all of High Point; a special aunt and uncle, Kathryn and Austin Frye of Lexington, other aunts and uncles, Kenny and Winnie Swing of Flat Rock, Larry and Jo Swing and Janice and Pete Lea of Lexington, Ed and Pheobe Swing of Greensboro, Max and Willie Swing of Winston-Salem, and many cousins. Also surviving are her in-laws, Sharon and Duncan Cutler of Atlanta; sister-in-law, Cindy Taylor and her husband, David, of DeLand, Fla.; brother-in-law, Todd Cutler and his wife, Sally, of Atlanta; nieces and nephews, Jonathan Taylor of Nashville, Tenn., Sherrie and Scott Hogan of New Orleans, La., and Duncan, Blake and Sarah Cutler, all of Atlanta; as well as many dear and loving friends who have provided countless hours of support and encouragement during her illness. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday before the service and afterward at her parents' home, 109 Trafalgar Drive, Lexington. A memorial service will be held in Atlanta at Saint Luke's Presbyterian Church in Dunwoody, Ga., on Saturday, May 8, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Brain Tumor Center at Duke, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, N.C. 27710.
