Dan Simoneau
Class of 1980
Class artist Dan Simoneau has continued with his art. After receiving his BFA in 1984 with majors in painting, printmaking and ceramics he started teaching adult ed art classes in Lewiston/Auburn. He went on to teach privately before moving to the midwest in 2000. Once in the midwest, he became a board member of an artist's collective in Toledo, OH and began competing. The competitions resulted in many accolades including membership into the Northwestern Ohio Watercolor Society of which he is still a member and acceptance of one of his paintings into the Toledo Federation of Art Societies collection at the Toledo Museum of Art. Since then, Dan has moved to Wisconsin and he is now a lifetime member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, a member of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society, a member of Wisconsin Visual Artists, and a signature member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters. Since 2005, Dan has been listed in Who's Who in American Art. Most recently, Dan's figurative work is featured in the publication 'Best of Artists - Portrait and Figurative Artists."
