Pat passed from this life August 27, 2022 in Abilene Hendrick Hospital from injuries sustained in an auto accident July 31, 2022. He was preceded by his wife of 52 years, Vicki Rutledge Helton, from her injuries in the same accident. They were remembered in a memorial service at Ransom Canyon Chapel in Lubbock Oct 11, 2022.
