About	Jon's pride and joy were his children, he cheered their successes and always had a ready hug when needed. "no such thing as failure. only lessons to help you on your way". He was a softball Dad and coach for his daughter and bike riding partner for his son, sometimes going as long as 35 miles in one day. He was a great husband and father always there for all of us. Jon was an avid sportsman, enjoying basketball with his son, tennis, skiing and many other outdoor activities. He and Mike Green, also LHS 1964 remained friends their entire lives, fishing and telling tall tales. Jon passed away in Sacramento, Ca., on Novemeber 30, 2011 stricken by respiratory failure attributed to A.L.S. He is survived by his wife Sharon of 26 years and three children, as well as 3 brothers and 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
