Gordon was a mentor, teammate and friend. Although we didn't stay in touch I have thought about him ofter. In 1963 he won 1st place in the the WVAL x- country championship meet and our team swept the first 5 places. In the CCS championship our team won again and Gordon and I tied for first. Coach Morgan gave us all a framed picture of that team which is on my desk.
I have great memories of those days at Leigh.
