No more "Dark Skies" for LHS!

Dear Leicester Residents:

The LHS Athletic Booster Club has initiated the process of installing lights at the Leicester High School Athletic Field. Finally, no more “Dark Skies” for the Wolverines!

Through the efforts of past and current LHS Athletic Booster Club Members, we purchased the lighting fixtures at a deep discount. Although we are proud and thankful for what we have accomplished so far, further funding is required to complete the project. Additional finances are needed to cover the associated installation costs as well as the expense to make necessary improvements to the field to accommodate the soccer programs. Once the field is lit, we will be at par with the other high school athletic programs with whom we compete. Installation of the lights is scheduled to begin in February 2010.

For these reasons, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting a “Light the Field” Fundraising Event at Leicester Country Club on Friday April 9, 2010 from 7pm-11pm. Hors’doevers , Cash bar, Entertainment by DJ Mark Veau, Raffles, and a Silent Auction are among the nights festivities.
