Born on August 24th, 1964 in Kansas City, MO, she was the third of five children born to Paul E. and Esther M. Potts. A graduate of Northwest Missouri State University (undergrad) and University of Central Missouri (graduate), Kim was a devoted public educator for the Odessa R-VII and Fort Osage R-I school districts, where she taught English Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies until her retirement in 2020. In addition, she was an honor society and school yearbook supervisor as well as a dedicated building representative with the Missouri School Teachers Association for Osage Trail Middle School and the Fort Osage MSTA President. She was deeply involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives, taking special care to help with costuming, hosting, and teaching at every opportunity. She enjoyed sewing and had rededicated her time to quilting and embroidery in her later years, often finding fellowship among others who enjoyed her craft. Above all, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, watching them grow and learn.
Kim is survived by her spouse, Bary Kramer; children, Alysa Stockton (Scott) and Riley Kramer; grandchildren, Caleb and Connor Stockton; siblings, Danny Potts (Regina), Krisann Pfingston, and Susan Panther (Tim); mother and father-in-law, Carolyn and Larry B. Luther; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Kramer (Jenny), Larry D. Luther (Rhonda), and Christopher Luther (Trish); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kim was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin E. Potts (1960-1963) and her parents, Esther M. Potts (1939-2001) and Paul E. Potts (1938-2013).
