| About Me | Enlisted in the US Navy after graduation. Boot camp in San Diego, Ca, Hosptial Corps School, on to Camp Pendleton to learn how to be a Marine. Sent to Orlando, FL for first duty sation at the Naval Hospital. Then on to Guam at the Naval Station Dispensary. Re-enlisted and went back to San Diego for C School, Medical Administrative Tech/Independent Duty Hospital Corpsman. On to Washington, DC for Diving School (NSDS) to become a Navy Diver/Diving Med Tech. Sent to USS Escape (ARS-6) for duty. On to NAVSUBTRACEN, Pearl Harbor as an instructor for Second Class Diving School. Completed duty and sent to the USS Opportune (ARS-41) for duty. Volunteered for the ARS-50 Class of Rescue and Salvage ships being constructed in Sturgeon Bay, WI for pre-commissioning duty. USS Safeguard (ARS-50) was commissioned in Aug 1988 and we traveled from there to Pearl Harbor, HI where we were stationed. Completed a tour of duty and was sent to Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City, FL. Retired in 1994 after 26 years of service. Started a new career in the Insurance busines as a agent and sales manager for Liberty National Life Insurance. Retired from there after 15 years. Went to work for American General Life Ins Co and left after 2 years. Started work at our local Chick-Fil-A as the Host for the Dining room. Retired in Dec 2015.
