Dakota Apr 71 - Dec 73. Squadron Officers School Jan 74- May 74. Assigned to Anderson AFB, Guam in B-52s Jun 74 - May 76; Transferred to MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL Jun 76 - Jun 78 as Weapons Controller; Remote assignment (unaccompanied) to Republic of South Korea Jul 78 - Jun 79; Transferred to Robins AFB, GA as B-52 pilot Jul 79 - Sep 82; Changed career to Contracting Officer Oct 82 - Jul 85; Transferred to Wright Patterson in Contracting Command Staff Aug 85 - Jul 88; Returned to Robins AFB As Contracting Officer, PMD Division Chief Aug 85 and retired as Lt Col in June 1993.

Joined the Army in 1986 and did basic training at Fort Leonard Wood Mo. After basic training I was assigned to Ft. Polk ,Louisiana where i met and married the love of my life. Served overseas for three years in Germany where I deployed to the middle east and fought in the first Gulf War. After serving a total of eight years at four different bases I was honorably discharged in 1994 at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Both my sons,Michael and Marcus were born while I served and I'm proud to say my marriage is still in tact and flourishing after twenty ones years of beautiful frienship!

Joined in 87 Met up with WOMP (Ken) in Tampa at Mac DillAFB,Did a Little time in the first gulf war at alkarjh air base.made it home, watched my son play 4 years of football as a starting D LINEMAN(SOMETHING I NEVER DID HA HA!!!!)he just finished his first year at catawba,on the deans list(as you can tell from my typing something else i never did)have been happily maried to the girl i took to our senior pprom for 23 years (bless her heart) and for the most part loving life .I live less than a mile LHS on John Green rd and am currently employed at High Point auto salvage,Worked at Thomasville Ford for 15 years before,and possibly repaired some class mates cars,Drop me a line at barbershop3@triad.rr.com, hope you all are doing well SEE YA!!!!! D.

After basic training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, I was assigned as an Education Specialist at Duluth AFB, Duluth, MN from June 1, 1971 to May 28, 1974. Worked with non-high school graduates up thru PhD officers to provide remedial thru extended university level education options to military personnel on base, including OCS for enlisted personnel. Left USAF thru early out after 3 years 2 months active duty as the Vietnam War was winding down. Worked in Duluth for a year or so before coming back to NC to go back to UNC-Chapel Hill for further education opportunities.
