About Me	Entered US Army in 1974 as Private Basic Training Boot camp at Ft Polk ,La , Fellow classmates and good friends Gene Brown and Mike Richards entered US Army at same time I did . After completion of Basic training , first assignment to Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland and then to the 1st Cavalry Division Ft Hood Texas where my military career began Several duty assignments followed after Ft Hood with reporting to the 2nd Infantry Division , Korea , Manheim, Baumholder ,Gelnhausen , Germany , Ft Riley , Ks and Ft Benning , Ga. Attained rank of Sergeant First Class, Selected by the Dept of the Army to attend Warrant Officer School in 1987 , After graduation from Warrant Officer school , Promoted to Chief Warrant Officer , Unit assignments continued overseas to Honduras, Panama, Germany, Korea , Kuwait and Iraq Desert Shield / Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom . Retired from US Army in 1997 after 26 Years honorable service as the Armor Brigade Maintenance Officer. My primary field of work was in the area of Maintenance and Logistics support officer for the M1 Abrams Tanks. Retired from the United States Army at Fort Riley , Kansas 1st Infantry Division with Honorable Discharge and received the Legion of Merit from the Post Division Commander. Presently still serving my country working for the US Govt as a Defense Service Manager supporting our service members overseas in the Middle East A few years left in the ole tank and I will soon hang up the boots for good and enjoy some fishing and quality time that I have well deserved and looking ...(read more)
