About Me	Life was turning out as perfect as I could imagine. I worked hard to earn my career as a paralegal, which I loved and was very good at. I met and married my wonderful husband but I was battling a lot of fatigue. Immediately after getting married I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer so we had to put our dreams of starting a family on hold. My thyroid was removed and soon after, a nuclear body scan showed a 7cm tumor on my left ovary that was thyroid cells. My left ovary and felopian tube was removed along with the tumor. I had kicked cancers ass!!! Luckily on September 19, 2012, on the first try, our beautiful daughter was born! The right ovary worked!!! Our little Sophia could not be more perfect. She's exactly as I always dreamed she would be. Unfortunately since the cancer was diagnosed and remover I haven't felt well. I've always known something else was wrong. I've had many many many injuries and have been plagued with fatigue. According to my oncologist and geneticist, cancer tends to make other illnesses more prominent. The geneticist and my Orthopedic diagnosed me with Klippel-Feil Syndrome (KFS) and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) which is a bone and connective tissue disorder. I was born with 2 vertebrae fused together in my neck which causes headaches, stiffness and pain in my neck. Connective tissue is like glue that holds your joints, ligaments, organs, basically everything in place or together. Imagine rubber bands holding several handfuls of pencils together. Those rubber bands have been holding those together for 40 years. They are starting to deteriorate , crack and eventually fall apart. I'm 40 but my body is aging inside like I'm 70. I have scoliosis, 3 herniated discs, one impinging on my spinal cord and 6 other disc protrusions in my back. I've got osteoarthritis and a tear in my left hip that would be too risky to repair. I've had my left shoulder repaired and now my right is worse than my left ever has been so I'm sure it's going to be next in line for surgery. I need to have my herniations surgically repaired but I can't do that till my chronic anemia is stabilized. I'm not even going to get into the problems with my legs and neuropathy pain that's throughout my body. I've been having chest pains and respitory problems for the last six months. My lungs were cleared and so was my heart although it is enlarged. A thymus mass was found in my chest and I'm having a nuclear scan done this week to make sure the thyroid cancer isn't back. I had to stop working last year due to the pain, memory, fatigue and cognitive problems. I'm still intelligent. If you ask me something it just may take me a bit longer to answer than your average person. I miss living to the fullest through my camera lens.
