Blake attended Taft Elementary School, Central Junior High School andgraduated from Lawton High School in 1969. He was an outstandinginstrumental musician. He was named to Oklahoma All-State Band in 1967ad 1969. He won numerous debate an speech events during his scholasticcareer and was a finalist for the Southwestern Oklahoma AUSA West PointLeadership Award in 1969.
He attended Cameron College (Lawton, Oklahoma) as a freshman and was enrolled at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma for the coming year.

Darrell Blake Duncan was born 25 September 1951 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He died 05 August 1970 at Reynolds Army Hospital, Fort Sill, Oklahoma the victim of a car/motorcycle accident. The passenger, Mrs. Kay Ann (Wise) Maxwell died short time after the accident July 31, 1970.
