We double dated in high school and double to junior senior prom. He went into the army and came home after being stationed in Florida for a time. I remember he said his job was to drag alligators off the runway so the planes could land. We dated for a while and he asked me to marry but I declined because I felt I was too young and wanted to finish college first.
