Stanley Ray DeWitt, 62, of Mt. Morris, PA, died at 7:38 PM Friday, April 01, 2016, at home while working out in the yard of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Monday, October 26, 1953 in New Florence,PA. A son of the late Gilbert DeWitt and Elda Rummel DeWitt.
Mr. DeWitt was a member of the Highlawns Methodist Church in Reevesville,WV. He was also a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and the N.R.A. With his wife he enjoyed riding motorcycle and had traveled 48 states. He worked for several years for Consol BMX Coal Mine in Greene County and had been a coal miner for 42 years when he retired in March of 2016.
He is survived by his Wife: Dorothy Patty Kerr DeWitt, whom he married on October 06, 1973.
Also surviving are 2 Sons: Michael R. DeWitt, of Carmichaels, PA., and Jason R. DeWitt, at home. He was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased are 1 Sister and Brother In Law: Donna and Daniel Hanlin.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or services. Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O.
