| About Me | Drove an 18 wheeler for about 8 years, then stated my own hotshot trucking company, C3M, in late 2010. After hitting a sheet of black ice on Feb 7, 2011, my rig was totaled so I left trucking and began working with Aflac as an insurance salesman in April 2011. Being a salesman, I wanted to have at least one of the products I was responsible for selling, so I setup a cancer policy for my wife, Melissa, and I in June 2011. I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on May 11, 2012, underwent 5 rounds of chemo (went into remission after round 1), then had to have a stem cell transplant on Sept 25, 2013 due to a genetic mutation that left me in a high risk group for relapse of AML. Since the transplant, I graduated from EMCC and began work as an IT Assistant at Community Counseling Services of MS in July 2014, where I'm still at today. I've had some complications from the transplant, which are all part of what's known as cGVHD or chronic Graft Versus Host Disease.
