Hi friends of Lathrop High School 1972!
The 50th class reunion is set for June 17, 18, 19, 2022. This is solstice weekend with lots of activities going on around Fairbanks. We are just in the beginning planning stage so more details will come along as we firm up activities. Also, some of you may remember John Sauer from our class. He has an annual pig roast at his cabin 30 miles up the Salcha River. Next year he is planning it for the following weekend June 25, 2022, so that folks coming North can have back to back weekends enjoying summer in Fairbanks. (John invites everyone and runs shuttle boats from 9 to Noon on Saturday at the Salcha landing)
We are currently in the process of figuring out how to contact as many folks as we can. There is a lot of activity on Facebook, Lathrop High School Class of 1972 Reunion, and Classmates.com.

1972 50th Lathrop Reunion
The details for our 50th LHS reunion have been hammered out and are as follows:
Friday June 17: Pioneer Park (Alaskaland) Square Dance Shelter located opposite the Centennial Center and next to the Square Dance Hall beginning at 4:30pm. This is a picnic style affair with food, water, lemonade, beer, wine!
Saturday June 18: Lathrop High School Tour 12:30pm
Saturday June 18: Antique Auto Museum 5:30 to 10:00pm. There will be fabulous food and a no host bar, and don’t be surprised if you feel an urge to have a Negroni or an Old Fashion! This is a beautiful venue so dress as you wish! Fairbanks style has been a look identified only to Fairbanks! I think Julie Scott will be wearing a fabulous gown, but you may dress in a fashion only to you and at our age no one is going to judge anyone!!! There will be a prize for the most unique 1972’ish, and a prize for the most formal! And there will be a special prize for Michael Spooner and Harvey Delahay should they show up in their Once Upon a Mattress attire!!!
Sunday June 19: Father’s Day, free day to do as you wish with, or without, classmates.
To cover the cost: $100 per classmate or $150 which will include a friend/spouse/significant other

We are in desperate need of a head count by May 20th. Please, if you know you are coming, let us know and pay early!!! Also, our class has been fortunate to have a little $$ left over from the reunion before to help get us started. Like anything there are always little extra’s that pop up which we may not have calculated. If you can pitch in more $$ it is always welcome and if there is any $$ left over it will be there for our 60th!
