| About Me | I'm active in Convention of States. It is a nonprofit that is raising the nations largest grassroots group of educated people on the following problem and the solutions the citizens of our beloved country can make. The problem--our country is falling apart at the seams--the deficit is out of control, Washington D.C.--specifically the U.S. Congress seems to lack the ability to practice humility. Solutions--add three amendments to the Constitution. 1. an amendment to balance the U.S.budget. Not by raising taxes to cover the increased spending of our legislators but by having a set amount of money available that the legislators can spend. 2. An amendment to limit the number of years that an elected or appointed official can be in an office or on the bench. When our country was founded the forefathers anticipated people only being in one or two terms in office. Today we have people that have been in office for 30 plus years. This needs to come to an end. 3. An amendment that will take the power that the United States government has taken away from the states over the years and give it back to the states where it belongs. When the Constitution was founded the thickness of the book was about a half inch.
