Kevin R. Schmett, 43, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at Umass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Mass.
He was born in American Falls, Idaho, and moved with his family to Laramie when he was 7.
He graduated from Laramie High School and attended the University of Wyoming and Phoenix Institute of Technology.
He pursued a career as a design engineer with Morgan Construction.
He was a lover of art, music and poetry, which he also composed.
He is survived by his wife, Li Shen (Maggie); his son, Saben, who is serving in the U.S. Army; two daughters Sage, and Erika; his parents, Roy Schmett of Laramie and Tillie Schmett of Boise, Idaho; and his two brothers, Greg Schmett and family of Las Vegas, Nev. and Jayson Schmett and family of Anchorage, Alaska.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
His ashes will be scattered along the Snake River in Idaho.
