Shannon Montgomery, later formally adopted by his stepfather, with the name change to Stenberg, passed away on September 11, 2010 after a lengthy illness.
While at Lanier, he was an active member of the staff for Skalds, the school literary magazine at the time. He was a talented musician, writer, cabinet maker, and much later a special education teacher.
His family requests that donations be made in his name to the Capital Area Food Bank.
