About Me	Fourth Generation North Dakotan from Langdon, lived in Denver, Colorado, for 5 years after graduating from the University of North Dakota (1973), where I received my master's degree in judicial administration from the University of Denver College of Law (1976) before coming to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1977. I came to Tennessee hired by the Trial level judges (Criminal, Circuit & Chancery Courts) to become the first professional Trial Court Administrator in the history of Tennessee. I've subsequently taught criminal justice administration at MTSU, served 10 years with the Davidson County Sheriff's Department while attending law school for 5 years at night (Nashville School of Law, formerly known as the YMCA Night Law School), then practiced law for 15 years prior to my appointment as a magistrate.
