About Me	Born and raised in Chicago, IL. After graduating from Lane Technical High School, served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician maintaining A-7E Corsair II aircraft. During the 1974-75 WestPac cruise aboard the USS Coral Sea, participated in the evacuation of Saigon (Operation Frequent Wind) and the rescue of the SS Mayaguez. Moved to Houston, TX after being honorably discharged in 1976. Began studies in electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Houston. Worked for Exxon Production Research (1979-1985) as a seismic data processing technician, and at Compagnie Générale de Géophysique (1985-1986) as a seismic data programmer. Acquired a bachelor of science degree in computer science in August, 1987, and began working for Rockwell Space Operation (RSOC), a NASA contractor serving the Johnson Space Center. While working for RSOC, joined the Naval Reserves in 1989 and participated in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 with VFA-15 aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) in the Persian Gulf. In 1996, Rockwell Space Operations merged with its Lockheed Martin counterpart to form United Space Alliance (USA). Worked for USA in various capacities supporting the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs until retirement in May, 2007.
