| About Me | After graduating from Brockport, I enlisted in the Army. I was stationed at Fort Sam Houston, TX. I earned my teaching credentials from the University of San Antonio. I married my husband, Mike, in 1978. We moved to Killeen, TX, where I taught middle school, had my son, and earned my Masters degree. Because my husband was a military jet pilot, our tours were confined to the Washington, DC area and Hawaii. I taught school during all of those tours. We spent a year at Fort Rucker, AL. I chose not to teach that year. I became active in the Officer Wives Club. In 1997, we returned to the DC area. I taught for Prince William County until my son graduated in 1999.
