About	Andrew H. "Andy" Witmer, 56, of Fieldcrest Drive, Willow Street, PA died unexpectedly of natural causes at Lancaster General Hospital on Thursday, August 3, 2017. Born in Lancaster he was the son of Barbara E. Zeitler Witmer of Willow Street and the late Paul R. Witmer. Andy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Lancaster where he participated with the hand bell choir and was a communion and worship assistant. He was also a member of Boehm's United Methodist Church, Willow Street. He was a member and past president of Willow Street Lions Club. Working as a cook for his career, Andy was employed by several local restaurants including Willow Street Diner, Bird In Hand Restaurant, the former R.D. American Grill, and last at C.R. Lapp's, Quarryville where he was currently employed. He enjoyed gardening, both indoor and outdoor plants, and lawn work. Surviving beside his mother are a sister, Rosemary wife of Dale R. Hess of New Providence; and 2 nephews, Matthew Hess and Andrew married to Amber Hess. Funeral services will be held from Willow Street Mennonite Church, 399 East Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, PA on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00AM with Rev. Stephen P. Verkouw officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held at the church on Tuesday, from 6:00-8:00PM and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
