Jack Poplar

Class of 1972

Jack Poplar, (graduating class is either 1972 or 73), who was program director and now, president, of Acadia (a physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic in Lancaster; Acadia's team of specialists helps neurologically impaired patients learn how to function again at home and in society after they've suffered traumatic brain injuries — whether due to car accidents, military combat or strokes.) helped organize a fun raising effort to fund helmet pads for military helmets to help prevent brain injuries.
Jack also organized a bike race in Grandview Heights (Grandview Grand Prix), which raises money to benefit local people who are in need of help. Recently, he wa instrumental in making handcycling, a category in the race for wheelchair athletes.
