| About Me | I went to school and majored in both Sociology and French. After graduating college, I took a year off before heading abroad to teach English. I spent a year on Reunion Island (just east of Madagascar) and taught in two primary schools there. It was a great excuse to put my French and cultural studies to good use. It was a challenging and wonderful experience. While there, I was also able to spend some time in South Africa and Mauritius. After returning home, I moved out to the Bay Area in California and worked for a non-profit involved in international philanthropy. I'm now working at an organic farm and wilderness preserve -- helping to run a summer camp program focused on environmental and multicultural education. I got married in March 2007.
