About	Ernest B. Hilderbrand, Jr. Obituary Ernest B. Hilderbrand, Jr., 51, of the 3300 block of Elmsford Place, died September 13, 2003, in his residence. He was a native of Biloxi, MS, and had retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard following 26 years of service. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. His wife of 24 years, Jennifer Lynne Hilderbrand, and his mother, Madeline Ross Hilderbrand, preceded him in death. He is survived by a daughter, Katie Hilderbrand of Chesapeake, VA; his father, Ernest B. Hilderbrand, Sr. of Norfolk, VA; and three brothers, Ross Hilderbrand of Richmond, VA, Lenny Hilderbrand of Virginia Beach, VA, and James Hilderbrand of Norfolk, VA and a host of “close friends”. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2003, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Gary Alvis. Following the graveside service, relatives and friends are all invited for a gathering at Centenary United Methodist Church, 3312 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, VA.
