About	Roanoke Times - Roanoke, VA Michael Alan Newman, 54, passed away September 5, 2006 in Oklahoma City. A native of Norfolk, Va., he resided in Blacksburg, Va., for 32 years. Michael was the son of the late Odell and Dorris Newman. He graduated from Lake Taylor High School where he maintains a school record for men's hurdles. Michael later graduated from Virginia Tech and remained in the area for a number of years as a general contractor. He was also the owner of Misty Mountain Productions and has performed in a number of major motion pictures, commercials, and stage productions. Michael was always "A Fool for Love". He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Donna Boyle; brother Keith and wife Denise Newman; nieces and nephew, Chelsea and Rachel Newman, and Erin and Danny Boyle, all of Chesapeake, VA. He will also be greatly missed by his aunt Vivian Griffeth and his close friend, Nora Kenney, as well as many other family members and friends. A celebration of Michael's life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, Blacksburg, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local humane society.
