About	1969 Class Valedictorian; Member, along with brother Kevin Nelson and Gary Miller (both Class of 1968) of team that won the initial season's competition of "It's Academic," hosted by Bills Hall of Fame Broadcaster Van Miller, on WBEN-TV (Channel 4), on April 20, 1968, led by Principal George Johengen. Team defeated 26 other schools in single elimination tournament over three rounds, winning the finals with 300 points over West Seneca (290 and Bishop Fallon (280). Graduate of Georgetown University (B.A.) and Duke University (M.B.A.). Married 51 years to Byron Huffman of Columbia, Maryland.
