Bob Housewright
Bob Housewright
Class of 1952
Air Force, 4 Years

Enlisted in the USAF in 10/52 and served Parks AFB Calif, Biloxi Miss., San Antonio, Tx., Johnston Island, Lincoln AFB Nebr, and Lakenheath RAF Station England. Most Interesting - Johnston Island, which is 800 miles west of Hawaii - a coral reef 1 mile long and 2/3 mile wide. Very isolated, with a mail plane coming down twice a weesk - no TV, no radio, no newspaper, entertainment was a free outdoor movie each evening. A very boring year to say the least.
