Joined the Navy July 1964 went to Hospital Corps School and Field Medical Service School served with C-1-3 and C-1-12 FMF in Viet Nam, went to Advanced School and became an Independent Duty Technician went to Sea and served aboard USS Salinan ATF 161/Diving and Salvage, also USS Conolly DD979 tormenting the Russians and ended up on the USS Tripoli LPH10 as Medical Division Officer retired there with 25 years service and visited 50 countries on the way.

I joined the US Navy 2 months after turning 17. On January 12, 1978 I was shipped off in the middle of Sr year. I had no other classes required for my diploma so I took a leap! I was 1 of 4 first females Certified Airplane Mechanics in the Navy and so many other milestones as I served 25 exciting years!
