RHODA KLINGSBERG
I GRADUATED IN JUNE, 1949 AND ALSO WENT BACK TO VISIT LAFAYETTE. I WANTED TO SHOW IT TO MY SON, BUT, IT IS SO WELL GUARDED NOW, THEY TOLD US THEY ONLY PERMIT STUDENTS IN. VERY DISAPPOINTED AS I RESIDE IN FLORIDA AND WAS COUNTING ON GOING BACK, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. I DO REMEMBER COACH OSTRO., AS WELL AS MANY FAMOUS PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED OUR "FRENCHIE" SCHOOL GOOD THING I KEPT MY YEARBOOK, BECAUSE, HERE IN FLORIDA, I HAVE MET SO MANY OF THOSE WHO GRADUATED WITH ME.
Remember it well
Had the chance to return to Brooklyn recently and enjoyed taking a walk through the hallways of the great Lafayette...
Graduated in 1975.....It was good to come home.

Lafayette Basketball Team
In today's NY Times sports section ( NYTIMES.com ) sports
there's an article about the current basketball team for
you basketball fans.
Also, I ran into David Towel (class of 1960) capt of the Basketball team while covering the Knicks and Nets game at the Barclay Center.
Would anyone have an idea of how to contact him?
Thanks,
Barton Silverman

Coach Harry Ostro
The winningest football coach in the history of Lafayette HS will be 95 on February 19, 2010.
He is still active doing push ups and fishing from his home on Oak Island, NY.
He would enjoy talking to any former players, alumni or faculty.

Coach Harry Ostro Athletic
Hey all you Patriots, did you know that we used to be called Frenchies?
Do you know anything about the man who the Lafayette Athletic Complex was named for?
Go to: www.coachharryostro.com and revisit the Golden Years at Lafayette HS
Did you know that one of the most informative books ever written about condominiums was written by a Lafayette grad.
Did you know that Vic Damone, Judge John Sprizzo, Judge Dan Luciano, movie actor Art Metrano, football Jets captain Sam De Luca and serial murderer.....
(just kidding, wanted to see if you are paying attention).
The others all attended Lafayette HS
