She married Emil Marmer who was the class of 1942. They met later after school. They married in 1950 had 3 children and divorce in 1981. She married Lt. Col. William McReynolds who treated Ruth like a Queen. She died of bone cancer and is buried at the U.S. Navy Academy with Bill.
