About Me	After graduation I joined the Air Force. First stationed at Beale AFB in California where I was a flight line aircraft maintainer on the SR-71 and U-2 aircraft. Married Connie Sue Wheeler in 1992 (still together after 25 years). Together we moved to the United Kingdom where I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall working on KC-135 aircraft. After 4 years in the UK and 2 kids later the family moved back to Beale AFB and the U-2. Spent another 7 years there as a mechanic, aviation quality inspector and flight chief. I then applied for a special duty assignment to be a quality inspector at the U-2 Flight Test and Depot in Palmdale CA. Lived there at Edwards AFB for 4 years then retired from the AF as the Superintendent of the U-2 AF detachment at Palmdale. Brought the family back to Missouri for a short time before moving back to the high desert to work for Lockheed as an inspector on the F-22 before taking a civil service position with the Defense Contract Management Agency (a DoD agency). I worked for them for 7 years in their Special Programs division as Lead Quality Assurance on the F-22 Heavy Maintenace and B-2 Depot in Palmdale. I left DCMA in 2015 to go to work for NASA. I started with them as the Lead Quality Assurance on the SOFIA program. After 2 years on SOFIA I have now been assigned as Quality Lead for the Low Boom Flight Demonstrator or X-59 QueSST. One of the new generation of NASA X-Planes. Our mission is to bring back supersonic commercial air travel to the US. In my career I have been lucky to visit many other countries.
